Thomas Nikora (Principal)

Thomas completed his BMus in performance piano in 2016 at Victoria University of Wellington, studying under Jian Liu. Alongside his BMus studies, he performed concerts all over New Zealand, from Dunedin to Hamilton and further afield in the USA.

Thomas is a regular concerto soloist with different orchestras performing over four concertos last year alone, including the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini with Wellington ChamberOrchestra. As well as being the Choir’s accompanist, Thomas is the principle keyboard player for Orchestra Wellington and rehearsal pianist for the Royal New Zealand Ballet.


Stephen Clothier (Alternate)

Stephen is a pianist, composer and librarian originally from Hastings, Hawke’s Bay. As a composer, he has had works performed or recorded by a diverse array of groups and performers including the NZSO, APO, Stroma, Austrian violinist Barbara Lüneburg, and the AKTO Ensemble in Athens.

He particularly enjoys musical theatre and has worked on many shows in recent years, including the New Zealand premieres of Ordinary Days and Legally Blonde: The Musical, as well as local works. Stephen also sings with Orpheus when he’s not accompanying us.
